Hand crafted in polyresin with a fine polymarble finish, the statue shows the Blessed Virgin as St. Bernadette Soubirous described her at the grotto of Massabielle — veiled in white, a blue sash at her waist, hands joined in prayer and a rosary hanging at her side. The gold detailing along the veil and hem is applied by hand, and the moulded base lets the figure stand securely on an altar table, shelf, mantel or niche without additional mounting. 

At 18 inches, it is substantial enough to serve as the central image of a family altar or prayer room, while remaining easy to place and move. The polyresin body is far more resilient than plaster or ceramic, and simple dusting with a soft dry cloth is all the upkeep it needs.
